Intelligent response, instant alerts

What a useful alert looks like, and why most systems don't send one

A buzzer is not an alert. It tells a caregiver that something happened, somewhere, to someone, and leaves them to work out the rest while they walk. In the minutes that follow a fall, that missing context is the difference between a fast, calm response and a search.

ALLIE was designed around a simple test for every alert it sends: does the person receiving it know where to go, how urgent it is and what they will find when they arrive?

Where, how bad, and are they up

Because ALLIE fixtures sit in every room, an alert carries the room and the zone within it, not just an apartment number but "bathroom" or "beside the bed". Because radar resolves posture and motion, the alert carries context about severity: the signature of the fall, how long the person has been on the floor, and whether they have moved or got up since. That context arrives in the first message and keeps updating while help is on the way.

Escalation that never stalls

Every community and property staffs differently, so ALLIE routes alerts by severity to the people you designate and escalates on configurable timers when no one acknowledges. A fall never waits for the next scheduled round, and an unacknowledged alert never quietly expires.

Built to fit the workflow you already run

ALLIE is designed to work alongside the nurse-call, paging, mobile alerting and security tools staff already use rather than replace them. Alerts can reach a nurses' station, a phone in a pocket or a front desk; occupancy and event data can inform building systems. The goal is fewer places to look, not one more.

Predictive, not just reactive

The same sensing that detects a fall also notices the drift that precedes one: slower transfers, more night-time bathroom trips, a change in gait or routine. ALLIE surfaces these patterns as risk signals so care teams can intervene early, with a PT referral, a room change or simply more frequent check-ins, and so that when an alert does come, it arrives with a history attached.

Fewer false alarms, more trust

Alert fatigue is the silent failure mode of monitoring systems. Context-aware detection that distinguishes a person on the floor from a dropped bag, and a resident sitting down quickly from a fall, means that when ALLIE pages someone, it means something. Trust in the alert is what makes the response fast.

In a hotel, the same principle

A guest in distress behind a locked door cannot press a button either. In a hotel deployment, distress events route to the front desk or security with the room number and a severity read, giving a property a duty-of-care layer that costs the guest nothing in privacy and asks nothing of them at all.

How Should AI "See" in the Real World?

As AI moves into bedrooms, bathrooms, and everyday living spaces, how it “sees” matters. We break down the tradeoffs of cameras and Wi-Fi sensing, and why mmWave radar is emerging as the privacy-first foundation for real-world awareness.

Advancing the energy transition at the edge

Arqaios moves energy management to the edge by embedding control in outlets, switches, and vents. We cut vampire loads, turn off lights in empty rooms, tune room-level HVAC, and extend battery backup with predictive automation across homes, senior living, hospitality, and offices.
